In September, the median bank appraisal value for residential properties reached an impressive 1,695 euros per square meter (m²), marking a notable increase of 154 euros, or 10.0%, compared to the same month last year. Furthermore, this figure represents a modest rise of 31 euros, equivalent to 1.9%, from the preceding month of August.

Data sourced from the National Statistics Institute (INE) reveals that the most pronounced variation occurred in the West and Tagus Valley region, where a staggering increase of 12.8% was recorded. Remarkably, no region experienced a decline in property values during this period.

When juxtaposed with August's figures, the Algarve emerged as the standout performer, showcasing a significant uptick of 2.6%. Conversely, the Alentejo region experienced a slight downturn, with a decrease of 0.5%.

The housing market continues to exhibit resilience, with regional disparities reflecting the dynamic nature of property valuations across the country.
